Copies, early 17th century, in French, of treaties drawn up between France and her various allies, 1606-1613.
Also included are a number of instructions to ambassadors, commissions, and other related material.

Manuscript of "Cours de I'Histoire Général" by Claude François Henry.
A work intended as a universal history from the earliest times to the French Revolution, but which, from the 11th century onwards, is confined to the history of France. The text begins (folio 28) with a description of the work and material on the planetary system and world geography. It is preceded by geographical and chronological tables (folio 2). The work was compiled while Henry (1773-1820), a French army officer, was a prisoner of war near Jedburgh.

'Pseaumes de David. Escrits a Londres par Esther Inglis pour son dernier adieu, ianvier, 1.1615', a calligraphic copy of the Psalms from the Geneva version of 1588, with a dedication to James VI.
The title page has an illuminated border of flowers and insects; there is a miniature of David in prayer, and a self-portrait of the scribe (folio 4), and also decorative pen-drawings of foliage.
